CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle method that works on balancing the Craniosacral system: an elastic and fluid system which lives inside the spinal column, connecting the pelvis and cranium and housing the brain. If you compare the spine to a rubber band that can be twisted up; then Craniosacral Therapy is how to unwind it.

Imbalance or dysfunction in the Craniosacral System can cause sensory, motor or neurological disabilities. YOGA PHYSICAL THERAPY/SELF CARE

In order to have a happy body and general well being we all need to practice regular "flossing of the joints" and wringing out of the tissues. I believe Yoga to be the best self-care and form of self love. In our active and stressful lives, we need to replenish and find a balanced way to live in our bodies. Bodywork is only as effective as the self care we do, like daily flossing!  My approach is unique in that I break down the body into micro-regions with specific, deconstructing exercises that teach balanced strength vs. flexibility and healthy alignment.

DEEP TISSUE-STRUCTURAL BALANCING

My style of deep tissue is aimed at freeing the layers of tissue that obstruct the body's natural, healthy alignment. I work a lot with the facial sheath that encases the entire muscular system as well as focus on the structural muscles that support the spine and mobilize the joints. My work is profoundly deep while not invasive or painful but at times intense while releasing stored up tensions.

I have affectionately been referred to by several clients as the "Psoas Lady" due to my focused work on releasing this important structural muscle for pelvic and overall alignment, a muscle that is all too often ignored.
